Experimental Study On The Effect Of Roller Type On The Tension Of Steel Strip In Continuous Furnace
This paper mainly analyzes the influence of the crown of the furnace roll, the length of the center of the roll and the roll surface roughness on the bending of the strip during the heat treatment of the strip steel in the continuous annealing furnace. The rotating furnace rolls produce a compression in the direction of the strip width, which causes bending and wrinkling of the strip, and wrinkling through the furnace roll may cause hot bobbins. The formula for calculating the critical tension of the bucket is deduced. The formula shows that the critical buccal stress is proportional to [(strip thickness × yield strength) / (furnace roll convexity = friction factor)].
